So, it’s been awhile….like awhile.
So, it’s been awhile….like awhile.
Purchased by me
Lip products are probably my favorite makeup item and Lipstick Queen is my favorite brand when I want to splurge and as soon as I saw a picture of Eden I knew it had to be mine!
I have been super busy using the KonMari Method of organizing my home and I am working on a full review of Marie Kondo’s book and how the KonMari Method worked for me.
Today, we are going to talk about Lipstick Queen! I have been on a lip product buying binge (Colour Pop haul and review will also be coming soon) and I wanted to give you my thoughts on three of the sheer lipsticks from Lipstick Queen. I purchased these items on QVC, but Ulta also carries Lipstick Queen in store if you want to swatch before you buy.
The first thing I bought was Blue Jean Queen. Blue Jean Queen is described as A super-sheer lipstick that moisturizes as it glides on. Jean Queen is the ultimate shade to wear with denim that takes your jeans from drab to fab! As nude may wash you out, Jean Queen is specifically designed to contrast with denim and light up your whole face. Well, since I practically live in jeans I had to try this lipstick!
They aren’t kidding about Jean Queen being super sheer, I had to apply three layers in the picture below for it to really show up, but I really do love it. It’s so easy to wear and in this picture I was on my way to a massage, but still had to look presentable for school drop off, so I put on some CC Cream, filled in my brows and quickly applied Blue Jean Queen. This has quickly become a must have lipstick for me because it goes with everything and is so easy to wear!
Let’s play a game! See if you can spot the random Kiefer hair in some of the pics further down. One of the “problems” of having such a snuggly handsome guy is that Kiefer hair gets EVERYWHERE!!
Up next is a set that QVC offers in Saint Rose and Saint Wine, it also comes in a super cute bag.
Saint lipsticks are sheer (the Sinner line has opaque versions of the Saint Colors). Per the QVC website Saint Lipsticks deliver super-flattering color in one super-hydrating swipe. Lips are left kissably soft, super-moisturized and tinted with the most glamorous and seductive touches of color.
Saint Rose is described as seductive-yet-chic romantic pink that lights up all complexions. I am wearing my typical five minute look below with CC Cream, concealer, an eye shadow that matches my skintone and mascara. Most mornings are all about getting dressed and on the way to school as fast as possible. I have been suffering from serious allergies so apologies for the red nose and blood shot eyes. If I waited around for the allergies to clear up, I would never be able to take pictures!!
Saint Wine is described as decadent rich burgundy that makes fall’s deep statement lip ultra-wearable. I actually put on some eyeshadow for the picture below, because Liam woke up at 4:00 in the morning so I had a little more time than normal to get ready for drop off. 🙂
Now for swatches!
I have to say I am really glad I tried some items from Lipstick Queen! They are very easy to wear and provided you don’t try and eat a whole meal the color will stay put for quite awhile. If you are like me and have approximately 5 minutes to get yourself ready before getting a kid dressed and out the door, you should totally try a few items from the Saint line! The three I tried range from $20-$25 if purchased individually (similar price range to Too Faced’s La Creme Lipsticks). I will absolutely be purchasing more lip products from Lipstick Queen in the future (I already have a list which includes Frog Prince and Hello Sailor). Some of the more expensive lipsticks from this brand can get up to $50 and while I’m not sure I can bring myself to purchase a single lipstick for that amount of money, if I get an Ulta gift card I may splurge!
Have you tried anything from Lipstick Queen? Tell me what you tried and if you loved it!

Hello friends! My life has slowly begun returning to a somewhat normal schedule, and I am excited to get back to a normal posting schedule! I have a crazy back log of posts coming your way so stay tuned!
I have three different products that for one reason or other just did not work for me. If they worked for you awesome, please tell me about it. I’d love any tips that may save these products from being tossed out!
Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks I purchased these from Walgreens for 2.48 each and they are talc and paraben free. I have read a lot of positive reviews, but none of these worked for me. I have a feeling the fail with these is just an allergic reaction because while the color payoff was great and it acted more like a stain than a lipstick (all good things!), my lips started to hurt within a few minutes of application. Sadly, even though I purchased five shades I had the same reaction to all of them. I am including a swatch of the shades I chose, because they are very pretty and I hope they work for you guys!
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream I received a sample of this in one of my Petit Vour Boxes in Warm Glow. I’m going to be honest, I just did not like this product. I feel like this did not give any more coverage than what a typical drugstore tinted moisturizer would provide. A full size of this CC Cream is 39.00 if you are willing to spend that amount of money, I would recommend spending a few more dollars and try NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (43.00).
The last item of my fail list is also from Petit Vour:
Lily Lolo Mascara I have to tell you this is an excellent mascara, it makes my lashes look fuller and longer and I want so badly for this not to be a fail for me, but unfortunately it is a fail. It is “spring” here in Florida (spring meaning the few weeks when it is really hot and polleny and not just really hot) and with that comes allergies. I have had this mascara end up partially down my face three times from only very slightly watering eyes, so I can’t wear it! I would suggest giving it a try as it is vegan, non-toxic and cruelty free. Hopefully, it will work better for you!
Well, that wraps up my first fail post, I hope not to have to do to many of these because I don’t want to be negative, but I do want to be honest when something doesn’t work for me.
Have you tried any of these products? How did they work for you?

Today I want to talk to you about a lip duo that I bought on QVC in October. You guys know that I have an It Cosmetics problem, so when I was browsing through that section of their website and stumbled on this, I had to try it out!
I decided to go with the Berry Flush duo, because that was the set that seemed the most fall/winter appropriate. You can also buy each piece of this set separately.
From the QVC website:
Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Anti-Aging Lipstick Stain Reviver gives you a long-wear flush of naturally pretty color and antiaging, hydrating, luxe treatment lip balm, and it’s infused with a powerful stain that doesn’t dry out your lips. The lipstick/stain is in the shade Pretty Woman. It looks very dark in the tube, but as you can see in the swatch below, it really does come out as a flush of color (as the name Lip Flush suggests). I have been wearing this a lot since I have found the formula to be staining and moisturizing and I feel It Cosmetics knocked it out of the park with this product. I will be purchasing other shades in the Vitality Lip Flush line.
Vitality Lip Butter Anti-Aging Gloss delivers added high shine and rich pigment that glides on like a lightweight serum and instantly hydrates and protects your lips. Both formulas drench your lips in butters and oils that work together to hydrate, condition, and nourish, minimizing the appearance of lip lines. The shade that came in this set is called I Believe. I am surprised that I haven’t been wearing this more on it’s own, the way I have with Pretty Woman. There is nothing wrong with the gloss and I do enjoy it, but I haven’t been reaching for it as much as I have the Lip Flush. I do think it pairs well with Pretty Woman & when I am going out for dinner, I always pair the two and it looks fabulous.
Of the two products, the hands down favorite for me is the Lip Flush Stain. I love that I can put it on and forget about it and that it truly doesn’t feel drying on my lips. As I stated above, there is nothing wrong with the lip gloss & as a lip balm/gloss kind of girl, I expected I Believe to be my favorite, (and I do enjoy it) I just unexpectedly love the Lip Flush product A LOT!
Have you tried the Vitality Lip line from It Cosmetics?
