If I had my way, I would not wear any makeup to the gym at all. However, before I can get to the gym I have to drop Liam off at school and I always end up speaking with his teachers and aides for a few minutes, so I need to look somewhat put together and not like I just rolled out of bed. My compromise with myself is that I use the least amount of products possible, since I am going to go sweat them all off anyway.

I still love this Tinted Moisturizer by NARS. It is the only TM I have tried that gives decent coverage! I also used this on my eyelids to even out any discoloration as I don’t wear eyeshadow or mascara to the gym.

The Brow Wiz is awesome. I never leave my home without using this on my brows, but I didn’t expect it to perform as well as it did under gym conditions. I have worn this through a one hour Zumba Class followed up by 15 minutes in a dry sauna. I was dripping in sweat by the time I was done with the sauna but my brows still looked good!

If you read my August 2014 Favorites, you know that I have been loving this duo! Easy to use, easy to blend!

I have been wearing Vigne pretty much constantly since I purchased it. It really provides a nice pop of color for this look, since everything else is really minimal.

What’s in my gym bag?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATrent and I spent all weekend eating all the junk food in the house because we are getting back on the healthy lifestyle wagon.

Today I head back to the gym. The only exercise I got over the summer was being in the pool with Liam so I am way out of shape, so think good thoughts for me while I am dragging through my workout!

I wanted to do a quick “What’s in My Gym Bag” post as I head out. So let’s get started:

First up, my bag is a Vera Bradley Travel Duffel Bag that I bought on QVC. I love how tough this bag is and even better it is machine washable!

I live pretty close to my gym, so I usually go home to get cleaned up. However, if I needed to run some errands after working out, I always have the following items in my gym bag:

En Root Dry Shampoo from the Balm.

New Series: My Workout Playlist

When Liam starts school in August, I will be able to get back into working out at the gym. I am getting my gym bag set up again (I will be posting a What’s in my Gym Bag Post soon!) and decided to start a series about the music I listen to while working out.

I have a SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player.  It is not fancy, but I also don’t have to worry about wasting a ton of money if it breaks while working out!

So for my first post in this series I decided to skip through my MP3 player and list the songs that grabbed my attention.  In future posts, I will try and have themed workout playlists.

Weight Loss

Now that vacation is over, it is time to get serious about my weight loss.  I currently weigh 171 pounds, which is unacceptable since I am also 5 ft 3in.  Liam is four years old, can’t really blame it on “baby weight” anymore.  It is just me being lazy.

I am going to get back into logging my food with My Fitness Pal (feel free to friend me, I am Lostmama there).  My Fitness Pal is free and in the past I have had the most success in losing weight when I faithfully log my food and exercise. I have been doing Zumba classes twice a week and I’m going to add a few more group classes and some strength training into my routine.

In order to keep me motivated I have made a reward chart.  Since I am a beauty addict, I have decided to use my addiction to keep me motivated.

Weekly Wrap Up

So I haven’t been around much this week due to it being Liam’s Spring Break, so here is a very quick recap:

We tried potty training with Liam and while he seemed more interested than last time, he still wasn’t quite ready. So I will try again with Liam this summer.

We also celebrated Liam’s 4th birthday this weekend! I can not believe my baby is 4.  It is unreal.

In a bout of what can only be temporary insanity I joined a gym this week.  My first session with the trainer is Monday. I may include some future blog posts about how the training and exercising is going.
