Birthday Haul!

Hello friends!

Today I want to share with you some of the goodies I received and/or bought around my birthday last month!

The first products I want to share are the birthday rewards I received from Sephora and Ulta.

From Sephora I received the Nars Lip Duo in Rikugien and Cruella

From Ulta I received the Bare Minerals Moxie Lipgloss in Birthday Babe

My mom surprised me with a trip to Ulta and she bought me the Bare Minerals Bare Skin Concealer and the It Cosmetics CC Radiance Blush in Sugar Plum.

Finally, on to the goodies I snagged for myself!

Lipstick Queen’s Medieval, is supposed to be the red that everyone can wear, because it is so sheer. It’s actually really pretty on, but for some reason I don’t have a picture of me wearing it, boo bad blogger!!

I also finally grabbed the Tartelette palette! This palette is amazing and I think I used it non stop for about two weeks even though I was only going to school drop off and pick up ūüôā

The last thing I have to share is the only item I purchased from Sephora, and that is the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. I have to be honest with you guys, this product totally lives up to the hype. If you have dry, chapped lips this stuff will sort you out asap!!

Well, that wraps up my birthday haul! I will be reviewing some of these items more in depth, so stay tuned!

Bite Beauty: Matte Creme Lip Crayon: Brandy

Hello friends!

Using my $20 Shopkick Sephora Gift Card I decided to purchase a fall lipstick. I settled on the Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Brandy. Brandy is described as a muted raspberry. Per Sephora’s website:¬†BITE products are free of polybutenes, sulfates, and petroleum byproducts. The lips-only collection is certified gluten-free and made with food-grade ingredients, without sacrificing pigmentation or performance. The Matte Creme Lip Crayon is $24.00 but with my gift card I ended up only paying $5.36 (with tax). Score!

The whole reason I purchased Brandy was because I wanted something out of my comfort zone. Well, Brandy fit the bill! Not only was it a dark (for me) color it was a matte lipstick! For a mostly lip gloss, lip balm kind of girl¬†matte lipstick has always made me anxious because I felt it was something that needed Constant Vigilance! I have been wearing this for awhile and let me tell you, it is awesome. As with all matte lipsticks you should always exfoliate your lips prior to use. Brandy has not been drying or uncomfortable to wear, which was my biggest fear. Also, even after eating or drinking there was still a decent amount of color left (this is not a stain, so you can’t expect it to last through everything).

On an even more personal note, this is the first lipstick I have ever owned that Trent has randomly said he liked! Yay for Brandy!

Would I purchase another shade in the Matte Creme Line? Yes, provided I had another gift card! I am too cheap to pay full price!

Would I recommend Bite Beauty Matte Creme Line? Oh yes! It is not at all drying and the pigmentation is awesome!

My verdict on Brandy: I am so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone! It really paid off and has brought me several compliments!

Have you tried any shades in the Matte Creme Line?

Quick Haul: Bite Beauty

I am usually a lip balm or lip gloss kind of girl, but I recently used one of my Shopkick Sephora gift cards to purchase an actual lipstick. I chose Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Vigne. It feels really moisturizing on and I have not had my usual lipstick problems with the product feeling drying on my lips.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI will do a more in depth review as I use this lipstick more often, but my first reaction is that I really like it!

Bite Beauty & Zombie Apocalypse Survival Tip!

Hello Friends!

I traded in some of my kicks (points) from the Shop Kick app for a Sephora Gift Card.  Are you guys using Shop Kick?  It is awesome and you need to download it to your phone right now!  You basically get points for walking into Target, JC Penny and other stores.  Some stores have items to scan in the app for more points.  When you get enough points, you can choose a gift card.  They have all different options and best of all, it is all free!

I decided to take the opportunity to buy something from Bite Beauty. ¬†I walked into Sephora and asked for something that was a My Lips But Better product and the associate lit up and got so excited about Bite Beauty’s new BB for Lips. ¬†She also told me that Bite Beauty is made from Food Grade ingredients and that if you wanted to, you could safely eat the products in the Bite Beauty Line. ¬†Then she laughed and said: “I can’t think of a scenario where you would need to eat it though”. ¬†Of course, my brain immediately went to “Zombies!” ¬†When the Zombie Apocalypse happens and food supplies are getting low, we can raid abandoned Sephora’s for Bite Beauty Products! ¬†There you go people, when we are all roaming the earth Walking Dead Style, remember this post!

Now back to the product review!

This product is 24.00 at Sephora. ¬†I chose the shade Tawny, which is described as a dusty pink. ¬†Per Sephora’s Website:

Essential for the look and feel of just-kissed, healthy, and hydrated lips, this color-rich balm repairs, primes, and protects with SPF 15. Natural lip repair lipids mimic the lips’ natural surface to revitalize, replenish, and restore texture for the ultimate softness.

I am really impressed with this balm.  This really is a very pretty wash of color that I can easily wear every day. The minute I apply it to my lips, my brain shuts down because it feels so moisturizing!

This was my first high end lip product purchase. ¬†I usually stick with drugstore because it’s cheaper and I didn’t believe there could be much of a difference. ¬†In this case, I was wrong. ¬†The Bite Beauty BB For Lips feels better than any balm I have purchased previously and I really love it! ¬†I do want to try other products from Bite Beauty to see if the high quality is continued in the other products in the line.

I would happily recommend this product to anyone!

Would I pay 24.00 out of pocket for another balm?  I am not sure I could do it without a gift card due to my cheapness.  However, they do offer a  Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo for 12.00 that I may try.

Have you tried any Bite Beauty products? ¬†What did you think? ¬†Are you ready for the Zombie Apocalypse?? ūüôā
