Farmacy Honey Potion Warming Face Mask First Impressions and Review

I feel like it’s been approximately 439 years since I posted a review. Today, I want to tell you my thoughts on Farmacy’s Honey Potion Mask.

The Farmacy Honey Potion mask is one of the more expensive skin care products I have ever purchased at 49.50. I purchased it on QVC since it was slightly cheaper there than at Sephora. Since I’m in my late 30’s, I am more willing to invest money in skin care items. Keep reading to find out if I think it’s worth the money.

From the QVC website:

• Contains Echinacea GreenEnvy, which contains a high concentration of cichoric acid, a natural phyto compound.
• The Echinacea GreenEnvy used is farm grown, handpicked & only grown on one farm in upstate New York. Only the root is used, and it’s extracted within three hours of the farm to help ensure freshness.
• Contains honey extract obtained from bee hives located on the Echinacea GreenEnvy farm in upstate New York.

I’m not usually one to get super excited about packaging, as long as the product is easy to use and contained effectively. However, I love the thought Farmacy put into the Honey Potion. Frequently, when masks are in a jar they can be messy and feel unhygienic. Farmacy solves that problem by including a metal spatula to scoop out the mask and then they magnetized the lid so that the spatula stays with the jar instead of disappearing into the void.

You don’t need to use a lot of product when applying, because as you massage it into your face it transforms from the thick yellow honey type texture into a white cream. While you are massaging the mask starts to heat up and let me tell you it feels awesome. It really truly feels like a spa treatment.

The directions say to leave it on for 10-15 minutes. I think the first time you use it, it would be best to stick closer to the 10 minute mark to make sure when the mask starts to warm up it doesn’t cause you any irritation. In the above picture I only applied a very thin layer and it still warmed up nicely. The next time I used it I went with a thicker layer and left it on for closer to 20 minutes and loved it. Even with the thin layer my skin was super soft and hydrated after removing the mask.  It’s been several days since I tried the mask the second time with a thicker layer/longer time and my skin STILL feels soft. I will keep using the mask and may do an updated review in a few months to see if I still love it.
