BRAND OVERVIEW: LAURA GELLER BLUSHES (AND FINAL THOUGHTS)

Nothing to Disclose

Do you know what happens when your six year old is sick and coughs in your face for two weeks? The answer is of course yucky sickness. I went to the Doctor today and I have a Double Ear Infection and a pretty bad Upper Respiratory Infection. I am on antibiotics, a steroid and a prescription strength antihistamine, but thankfully most of the work for the last post of this brand overview was already done!

If you missed the first two posts in this overview, you can find part one here and part two here. All caught up?

Let’s talk blush!!

I know there is a lot of hype about Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey highlighter out there (which I haven’t been able to get my hands on yet) but I haven’t seen a ton of reviews on her blushes. Of course, that may just be because I’m super late to the Laura Geller band wagon. Her blushes have become my favorite, they jumped right over The Balm and It Cosmetics.

Just as a reminder I purchased these in discounted holiday kits, which are no longer available, but each item is available for individual purchase in the permanent line.

Baked Gelato Vivid Swirl Blush in Papaya $26 This is such a great coral shade for spring/summer. I am so glad this came in a kit, because I probably wouldn’t have picked this up otherwise. When you look at the Gelato Blushes in the pan, you might think “Holy Pigmented Blush” but these actually apply as a very natural sheer wash of color. If you aren’t into blush or maybe scared of it give the Gelato blushes a try. The swatch below was built up several times, so you could get a better idea of the color.

Blush-n-Brighten in Pink Grapefruit $28 I received this travel size blush in the same kit that I received the travel foundation. I’m not going to lie, I was expecting something….pinkier (Is that even a word? Whatever, I’m going with it!) from a blush called Pink Grapefruit. Laura Geller’s website describes it as rich tones of beige, mauve and shimmering pink. It’s pretty, but it’s not my favorite blush, so I’m going to add it to my gym bag with the travel foundation.

Blush-n-Brighten in Roseberry $28 I purchased this blush on sale at DermStore and it’s actually the first Laura Geller item I bought. This blush is super pretty and it is my favorite of the three blushes I’ve shared with you today. Laura Geller’s website describes it as soft tones of rose and a touch of gold.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I really love the Love Me Dew Lip Crayons and I will probably slowly purchase all of them. I also plan on adding to my Laura Geller Blush Collection because they are my new favorite blushes.

I’m enjoying the Liquid Radiance Foundation, but I probably won’t repurchase because I love my It Cosmetics CC Cream more. There is a very good chance I will purchase a full size of the Balance-n-Brighten foundation when I run out of the travel size because while it’s not full coverage, I enjoy the way my skin looks while wearing it.

If you haven’t tried anything from Laura Geller, but would like to, I would highly recommend checking out DermStore (free shipping on every order) and DermStore frequently emails out coupon codes. QVC also sells Laura Geller and usually has great deals on kits where you can try a bunch of products.

This is the end of my brand overview and I have to say, I’m hooked on Laura Geller. I want (almost) ALL OF THE THINGS!!

What’s your favorite Laura Geller Product? Tell me all about it!

Thanks for reading!
