Darling Girl Cosmetics Haul and Review

Hello Friends!

I have been slowly getting back into the swing of things now that Liam is back in school. I have been taking my time and getting blog posts organized and using my new planner to help with the blog and I’m finally in a good spot with regards to organizing my time. So let’s get started!

Today I have my first ever haul and review of Darling Girl Cosmetics. Darling Girl is a cruelty free indie company and I decided to place an order after I received a coupon code in my July Lip Addicts Anonymous Subscription and I am so glad I took the chance! I do want to give my vegan readers a heads up that while Darling Girl does have some vegan options, they are not totally vegan friendly. If you are looking for a great indie company that is vegan friendly, I would go with Kiss My Sass Cosmetics*.

I’m just going to confess something to you guys right now. If an eyeshadow has the word taupe in it’s name or in the description, I’m going to buy it. I can’t seem to stop myself, which is how I chose the two full size eyeshadows I decided to buy.

Jeweled Taupe is an amazing, metallic, bronzey taupe with multi-colored shimmer like tiny little jewels ribboned through it. I’m going to be honest Jeweled Taupe is my new favorite shadow. I am totally obsessed with it and have been wearing it every single day since it was delivered to my house. It’s great for a quick wash of single color but I have also been pairing it with my second favorite shadow from this order, Woogy.

Smoking Gun is a deep, smokey, grey-brown taupe. I have played with this shadow a little and it is amazing. I can tell that the further we get into “autumn” (hey, I live in Florida, so “autumn” gets quotes since it’s really just a slightly less lava hot version of summer) I will be using it a lot more!

Too Cute Sheer blackberry with a touch of gold pearl this is a blendable two-in-one formula for lips and cheeks. This was the item of the month when I ordered, so I was excited to be able to try it! I have been using this mostly as a lip gloss stain and it is really pretty and has decent staying power!

Now onto the Petit Sizes I ordered. Darling Girl Cosmetics offers Full Size, Petit Size and Sample Sizes on most of their eyeshadows. I chose these strictly based on fandom impulse because my first love will always be my favorite tv shows and movies!

Woogy Eye Shadow Deep brown with champagne tones. This shadow is named after the big bad in one of my favorite episodes of Charmed, so of course it had to be mine! Also, bonus woogyman spell gifs! Woogy is my second favorite (and current second most used) shadow of the group I purchased and I will be getting a full size very soon!

Tragic Death of Mr. Stay Puft A light toasted tan with a hint of blue, red and gold iridescence just like the adorable toasted villain we loved. This shadow is next up on my to play with list!

Here are a few photos of me wearing Jeweled Taupe and Woogy on my eyes and Too Cute as my blush and lip stain. Please excuse my wet hair, I got stuck in the rain!

I’m impressed with the items I received in my first Darling Girl Cosmetics order and am looking forward to trying more items from this cruelty free indie company!

Have you tried anything from Darling Girl Cosmetics? What should I try next?
