GRWM: It Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination & CC Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream

GET READY WITH ME

Welcome to my first ever Get Ready With Me Post! If you have been with me for awhile you know how much I love It Cosmetics, so I am excited to share my thoughts on two of their newer products It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination and the CC + Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream. Let’s get started!

First up, my super pale bare face with my lovely dark under eye circles:

After cleansing and moisturizing my face I grab my Coastal Scents Angled Kabuki Brush and It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness and apply around my nose and my chin.

Up next is the CC Cream Illumination and the CC Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream. I have been using my Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer brush to apply the CC Cream.

I highly recommend checking out Coastal Scents brushes as they are very affordable and good quality, Coastal Scents is cruelty free and they have sales several times a year! Just FYI they do sell natural/animal hair brushes and synthetic brushes (I only use synthetic) so be sure to double check which type of brush hair you choose if you get some Coastal Scents brushes!

Now, here are my thoughts on the new It Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination: When you swatch this on your hand you may have the same reaction I did “WHY SO MUCH SHIMMER JAMIE??” (I may or may not have watched Jamie Kern Lima present on QVC one too many times & feel like we are on a first name basis). I was really bummed with how shimmery it seemed on my hand, but do not despair friends, it doesn’t show up on your face as glitter/shimmer, but they are not kidding about the Illumination part of their name.

All I have on my face in the below picture is Bye Bye Redness and the Illumination CC Cream (in Light). I have gotten several compliments on my skin while wearing this CC Cream, which is always nice to hear! If you like a dewy/glowy face, I would really suggest you try this new CC Cream. You can see the glow/illumination look a little on the above pictures but this picture really shows the highlight effect on my cheek:

The It Cosmetics CC Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Eye Cream (man It Cosmetics loves their long product names!) is a newish product. I am using the shade Light. It has the same 50+ UVA/UVB SPF that is in the CC Cream and the consistency is a lot thinner than Bye Bye Under Eye. This also has what It calls “cold spoon technology” where the applicator always feels cool. I really really enjoy the cool sensation in the mornings when applying, it feels nice and helps wake me up. I’m not sure this offers the same full coverage as the Bye Bye Under Eye Concentrate (in the blue jar), but I do like having the SPF for my undereye area during the summer.

For Cheeks I went for something super easy and quick: BECCA Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Watermelon/Moonstone You just blend it in with your finger!

For my eyes I decided to use the It Cosmetics Eye Shadow Trio (Pretty in Spring) that came in the TSV with the Illumination CC Cream. It is a great neutral trio that is a snap to blend together!

This is a little more involved than I would normally do for preschool drop off alone, but it works great for a neutral daytime look for work or meeting friends for lunch!
